Tips, tactics for walleyes

One of the biggest challenges facing walleye fishermen is the learning curve involved in becoming a good fisherman. One of the best ways to do that is to read articles on walleye fishing, attend fishing seminars with pros and, of course, spend plenty of time on the water.

One of the tasks facing a walleye pro is to write those articles, present those seminars and try to do it without cutting too much into our own time out on the water. Because of that, it's a good thing that the Good Lord created winter. And it's a good thing, too, that sometimes the winds blow too hard or the rains fall or snows spit in the other seasons, too. That gives me some writing time.

Here are some of the walleye fishing articles I've written and a seminar course that I put together for WalleyeU.com which Dave Truett graciously allowed us to reprint here. Between the articles and the course, we hope you gain some knowledge and new perspectives on fishing for walleyes.

As more Montana winters blow in and those so-called "weather days" present themselves in other seasons, I'll add more articles and information to the list. Best of luck in your learning -- and your fishing.
