Jim Muzynoski and Guide Scott Achilles

Dale Gilbert and MontanaWalleye.com has teamed up with Captain and guide Jim Muzynoski of Bozeman, MT and guide Scott Achilles of Great Falls, MT to offer the opportunity to fish with some of the best walleye guides in the state. By partnering up and working together, Dale, Jim and Scott are now able to offer even more since they are sharing information on spots, techniques, etc. to be able to have an even better fishing experience. MontanaWalleye.com’s guides work through Craig Madsen’s Montana River Outfitters at 923 10th Ave North in Great Falls, MT 59401 - Outfitter License # 573. We are known as “Team Walleye” in Craig’s office here in Great Falls.
MontanaWalleye.com guides are probably the most versatile and experienced of any guides you will find to fish with in the country. Our trips can be on any one of a variety of systems here in Montana from Canyon Ferry Reservoir near Townsend, Holter Reservoir between Great Falls and Helena, Tiber Reservoir by Chester, Lake Francis by Valier, Fresno Reservoir near Havre, the Missouri River below Great Falls to the Fred Robinson bridge, to the majestic Fort Peck Reservoir.
Each Captain/guide will tailor the trip specific to your needs and preferences as an actual “On-the-water seminar." Our goal is to teach you how to find and catch fish. The typical day on the water will start with a brief orientation on safety and a review of the equipment we will be using. We will want to know from you what your expectations are for the day, i.e. if there is anything in particular you want to learn more about or do. We all utilize the latest in equipment and technology and are well versed in a variety of presentations for finding and catching fish. Our goal is to make the day, the best day on the water you have ever had.
What is provided and what do you need to bring?
We provide all the tackle, rods, reels, bait, boat, gas, life jackets, etc. All you need to bring is what you want to eat or drink (non-alcoholic beverages only), clothing for the time of year and weather, raingear, sun glasses, hat, sun screen and personal items are recommended. You will also need a valid fishing license and warm water stamp.
How to book a trip:
For specific information and coordination of dates it is suggested you contact us via phone or email at the links provided for each of us below. Success means being in the right place at the right time. It is really important so if there is a place you want to fish, we will each try to coordinate a date that historically would be a good time of the year to be there. Setting a date and making a deposit for a reservation is strongly suggested, since the prime times and summer goes by pretty fast. We do ask for a 50% deposit to reserve a day. The deposit is non-refundable as a general rule.
